Principal’s Message

Principal Jessica Bruchey picWelcome to St. Joseph Academy, home of the Falcons!  It is a dream come true to be part of such a strong, caring faculty and staff.  I am so blessed to work alongside the members of this dedicated and involved community to continue the family atmosphere and ensure high academic achievement in every student at SJA.

At St. Joseph Academy, our team promotes a Christ-centered environment that educates the whole child.  We recognize that each student is a child of God, and we strive to instill faith, knowledge, service, and values in each of our students by developing the spiritual, social, physical, cultural, and moral growth to each child’s fullest potential.

We celebrate and encourage uniqueness, differences, learning preferences, and individual needs. Our teachers strive to achieve uniform outcomes for curriculum content through differentiated instruction, building on strengths and developing weaknesses. We provide access to grade-level curriculum and develop lesson plans to provide standards-based learning and assessment.  We review the data from assessments to adjust our instructional practices, as necessary.  We promote a love of learning by engaging our students and teaching them to be responsible for their own learning. Our goal is to prepare them to be life-long learners and stewards of this world.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we are proud of our positive family climate and parental involvement.  We have talented, certified and caring professionals that give their time to further educate the whole child, be it by coaching a team sport, sponsoring a club like National Junior Honor Society, or holding tutoring sessions outside the regular school day. Our parents are actively involved in the school by joining us each morning for prayer, volunteering in the classrooms, or serving as coaches for our sports teams. We are thankful to our Pastor, Father Ramon Bolatete, who believes and embraces Catholic education and models Christ’s love for the children daily.

SJA is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference and is a part of the Diocese of Orlando. Enrollment is open to children from all faith traditions, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, and spiritual instruction is designed to help the child, as well as the family, as they continue along their own faith journey. We invite you to visit St. Joseph Academy and experience our learning environment.  An environment that empowers children through learning experiences that build knowledge and skills needed to succeed as adults.

In Christ,

Jessica L. Bruchey
